Mark, Dave Smith took these photos of his '57 Bowtie heat riser valve. '57's have TOP cast into the top of the flange whereas '58's have an UP. Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter

Hi Mark,
Gary Chesnut suggested that I post a few pictures of a NOS valve Assy. that I have had in my possession for a number of years.
I see a little difference in the location of the #s on the weight.

Mark, my Chevy friend tells that all the exhaust heat riser valves that have "UP" cast on them were used from mid-to-late 58 through 62. 57 to mid-to-late 58 has "TOP" cast. Dave Smith's photos in this post shows the correct heat riser valve for your application. Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter
