The celebration will come when I get it back on the road. I'm about 2 days work from completion of the project barring any serious "snags". However, I've been about 2 days work from completion for a VERY LONG time.

1969 coupe ordered 9/68 took delivery 12/18/68 i was 18 years old at the time. Yellow/ Saddle leather 435hp 4 spd. 411rear P/windows P/brakes white/stripe tires. Wrapped it around a telephone pole on a snowy Feb 2 1969. Still have build sheet and bill of sale.
it should have been illegal for an 18 year old to have a car like that. (i walked away from the crash) but my passenger was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

July 1983 I hauled 1960 #2348 home on two trailer loads with the pickup bed full as well. As Loren can attest, I'm not the fastest guy in the worrld, the power windows began working again for the first time January 1, 2009! It moved under its own power last June for the first time since I have owned it.

This thread reminds me of my good friend Bob Jourdain who owns a 1963 blue/red coupe ordered new. He has since gone BMW nuts, but still owns two 63's.

1962 #12644, Ermine White with Fawn Beige interior, 340 HP, 4spd, 4:11 rear. Ordered on Mar 28, 1962 & took delivery on June 26, 1962 from Briskin Chevrolet in Woodbury NJ. Have driven it well over 100,000 miles. Finished restoration in Oct 2008.

Purchased a '69 Riverside Gold w/ Saddle interior 350/300 coupe from Ray Benson Chev. in Utica, NY on September 9th, 1969. Car was built on July 15, 1969. AM/FM radio, louvers, speed ind., 4 speed. It's in the garage above a 2K1 convertible.

Bought my 1970 loaded, L-46, #00009 coupe in 1977. I drove the car in 1974 when she owned it, then I just bought the beer. I now buy everything without regrets. Steve
