I know I won't win this one, but here goes. I have a 1971 LS5 454 Coupe, Brands Hatch Green with ps, pw and deluxe leather interior, dark saddle.
I ordered the car on April 13, 1971 from H&B Chevrolet in Flushing, NY. I picked it up on July 30th, shortly after my 23rd birthday. I got a speeding ticket the same day on the way to show it to my Mom and Dad.
I try to take it easy with the old girl nowdays, a little anyway.Comment

Ken, what is the build date of your '71? Mine is last day of production on July 15th (21701 of 21801). I'd think yours would be late as well.

I'm a C-3 newbie (8 years, almost) and enjoying every minute of ownership! Purchased a 1974 L-48, THM 400, white convertible with the white hard top option, oxblood interior, P/S, P/B, A/C on August 02 2001. Build date on my car was 04-10-74.
Like I said I'm a newbie.

You should divide this into C-1's, C-2's and C-3's. There are still some old farts out there with some C-1's - that is if this a game open to all. As for me, I had my first Corvette Engine long before my first car (1956; 225hp - dropped it in my 50 Coupe to replace my 55 V8 that I put in late 1955). Then I got a practically new 1958; 290hp Fuelie to replace the 56. My first complete car didn't come until my new 63.

57 vin 4450, 283HP (bone stock i swear on a 6 pak of the beast) 4 speed radio delete, Duntov'd in Anahiem, 1992. i bought it for 950 bucks in late 1969. first to come, last to leave.2nd longest in my possession, 57 vin 1093, a 250 HP(again lilly white stock) powerglide. i'm installing the conv top vinyl today on the old girl and hope to have it at Charolette this spring. i bought it in early 1970 for 450 bucks. mikeComment

1962 Corvette Almond Beige with red interior purchased on Jan 4, 1995 which is almost 14 years ago. It's a matching numbers 340 HP 4 speed, hardtop only. A fun car thats been driven 22345 fun miles driven since purchased. Had 48091 miles when purchased and today has 70436 miles on the odometer. DRIVE UM.Comment

67 white small block convertible purchased in early 1991. I had just finished working a year with lots of overtime and few days off. I had a bag of cash and decided to get and old vette instead of a new one.Comment

I have owned 1962 # 2272 since 1971, It's black with red interior, F.I., 4:11 and 4 speed. The winner has got to be John Luther original owner of his black over red 57 F.I., he still has it and still drives it and it's un restored.Comment

Only 26 years for me and my 1964 327/300 roadster. Purchased it in 1982 after selling my drag-race '69 Camaro and trailer. The Corvette was one of my better investments. Also bought/sold a 1980 and 1992, but always kept the '64.Comment
