Question for renewing C2 headlight swithes & P/brake handles

Have any of you folks tried to renew your C2 headlight switches? ie, the silver letters on the h/light switch which protrude & the recessed white on the p/brake handle?? Both of mine work well but need to be spruced-up & I hear that many of the repro parts are junk,especially the parking brake handle.Thankyou,

Did both on my 63 in 1976 and still look great today. My headlight switch has the same bezel w/lettering around it as all the other dash mtd switches. As I recall, on those I just painted them black and scrapped the paint off the letters. On the E-Brake handle and horn button, I just repainted the white in the debossed letters, then wiped off the excess. Yours, if it is a 67, is probably different.

I have not done the H/L switch but the hood release was easy, shot it with krylon 1613 let dry and wiped white latex paint over it with a foam brush and swiped it with a damp sponge. (1967)

The repop park brake handle (for 64,65) has the face brushed area way to bright and shiney. The bright face stands out like a sore thumb. Originals look totally different.
