    Most cars (Convertibles) I observed used either the Radio Side Panel type Screw or an Oval Head with washer as shown in Waynes picture.
    Could it be that certain usage was more prone in Coupes vs. Convertibles?? (Coupes use different Quarter Trim Screws than Convs. Maybe Coupes had more likely a Oval Head with Trim washer installed??)

      Mike,
      If you purchase trim screws (oval head phillips) at hardware stores, the head sizes are standard for the screw size. The jackson head screws are the next smaller size screw head size. Thus a #8 screw thread has a#6 oval head phillips head. A #10 would have a #8 oval head. The seat taper is same for all size, just the head is about 20% smaller so the screw sits lower a a given size hole. Having the screw sit lower makes the assembly look cleaner.
