    Joe;

    Will you have a booth? If so, do you know the number as yet?

      My first Corvette was a '70 LS5 coupe, that I bought in March 1987. I was shocked to learn that Chevrolet never ended up putting the LS6 engine in the 1970 Corvette model. This car had a 1970 CRR coded engine assembly stamping with a C 13 72 casting dated block. It was quite fast even with a A/C drivetrain which meant an M20/3:08 combination.
      This led me to want and purchase real LS6 Corvettes, which meant getting a '71 model. I have two now and plan to keep them, as long as I'm able to drive.

        Took delivery of my new '67 coupe the second week of June in 1967. It was Sunfire yellow, had a 350/327 and a four speed and a 3:70 posi. I ordered the AM/FM radio (that hurt; it was about $180.00 and I wasn't the only one complaining to the dealer - why don't you offer an AM only radio for the Corvette). I also ordered power brakes, tinted glass all around, leather (black) interior and a block heater (only $10.00; I live in Minnesota - I think it was a dealer installed option). I think the leather interior was less than the radio; I remember that I didn't think twice about checking the order sheet because I thought it was a good deal. Anyway, the thing stickered at $4995. After about two weeks going back and forth with the salesman, we settled on a price of $4130. I paid $500 down and had a note for the rest at $163 a month for two years. Those were the days. I sold it for $3000 a little over two years later to buy stock in a company I was working for. Ya, right, I was gonna get rich. I didn't have the Corvette any more, but at least I was able to sell the stock for no loss about a year and a half later. One thing I remember, when I pulled out of Village Chevrolet in Wayzata, I just listened to the motor for a while, going up and down through the gears. When I got bored with that, I turned on the expensive radio. remember clear as a bell, the first song I heard was the Moody Blues "Go Now".

        Twenty years later, I was presented with the oppurtunity to buy another '67 coupe. I say "presented with the oppurtunity" because a good friend offered an extra car he had to me for $12,500, and I initially laughed in his face. (He knew I had always regretted selling my origianal '67.) Anyway, that night I stopped at the supermarket so the GF could buy groceries. I had some time to kill, so I leafed through the Corvette magazines in the magazine section, and after about 5 minutes, realized what a mistake I had made turning that car down.

        A couple of days later, I picked up a Goodwood Green matching numbers '67 coupe with a 327/350, a four speed and a 3.70 Posi. This car was from Texas and had 61,000 original miles. It had Power steering instead of power brakes, and power windows rather than a leather interior, but other than that, it was close enought to make me happy (it has the tinted glass all around). I originally wanted to paint the car yelow like my first one, but it took about 2 minutes of research and twenty years of maturity to realize that Goodwood green is a lot better color, especially on a coupe. Here's the best part, when I turned on the radio, the first song I heard was the Moody Blues "Go Now". You won't believe the first song I heard when I turned on the radio when I picked up my '68 convertible, so I won't tell you. All I can say is that I never really paid any attention to the Moody Blues back in the day, but they are now my favorite group.

        I drove this car for twenty years as a driver, and eventually, it started to get a little tired. I am just fnishing a body-off restoration, and I should be good to go this summer. (It's gonna be a driver again.)

        Who says you can't go home again?

          Stu,

          Spaces 13 thru 16 as always. Right where you go thru the gate by the Corvette Museum Display.

          Steve has already reserved those backing plates and master cylinder for the price of the entire car.

          See you in Kissimmee.
