    70 Wiring Harness

Okay I read the archives after I received my Lectric Limited Engine Harness.

Seems like M&H may be the way to go. There are at least four things different from my original versus the Lectric Limited.

The pigtail for the washer fluid level monitor is a single connector theirs is two. The wire color and connector for one of the starter wires is wrong. A wire color for the coil is wrong and it does not have the cloth cover. There is a piece of green tape wrapped around the harness down by the bulkhead connector.

Is M&H any better? Should I make do or send it back with my original for them to make one correctly?

    Kindest Regards,

    Bill

If you don't tell them where they are different from your original harness they can't correct what they are doing. Also, depending on build date there may be running changes. My 71 had the headlight washer hoses, but no headlight washer nozzles.

Well I spoke with M&H and they build their harness correctly. I spoke with Greg at Lectric Limited and he said they can no longer get the one type of side ring terminal and that a 70 had a two wire TCS plug on the engine harness.

I checked and the 70 TCS should have one green wire and connector off the harness and they have the correct ring terminals at the starter end of the harness.

I should have just gone to M&H again but I was trying to support the Driveline vendor.

On a separate note, M&H also makes the most correct battery cables in my opinion. They have the correct ground lug and they were able to reuse my original keyed positive lug on the positive cable. I did have to remove the lug and it took a little patience to remove the lug form the original cable but now the cables are correct.

      Kindest Regards,

      Bill

        Bill ---

I used M & H when I did the wire harness on my '70 Z28/RS Camaro and it was "EXACT" and they have good tech suppot to boot.

Well I am waiting to hear if Lectric Limited will provide a full refund. I would also be satisfied if they would re-make the harness correctly.
