PPG code was 13223, Medium Bright blue poly. Varations in the amount of flattening agent were used to achieve different gloss levels. Corvette generally used low gloss on Windshield lower Garnish, Radio speaker screen, Instrument panel, heater outlet panel, Sea and jsck stowage wells, Glove box frame, Linkage cover panel, Directional signal housing, mast jacket, steering column hub and column escutcheon. High gloss was used on lock pillar cap, door upper, W/S side and upper moldings, Halo panel, hardtop Garnish moldings, and kick panel retainer. Reference used was '67 vintage PPg document, so check for application on a '66 car.

      Bill,

Interestly enough when taking out the interior of my Sept. produced '66 noticed the radio side panels were what I would call Dark Bright Blue verus the other interior pieces being Medium Bright Blue. The panels give no indication of every being resprayed. I've read in Vette Vues Fact Book 63-67 shows a paint code ('67) for Dark Bright Blue.

      Regards,
      Michael

Michael -- here's the interior refinish color charts from Oct-Sept 1965 issue of Chevrolet News. The 3rd and 4th columns are for Corvette.

As you've mentioned, there are several shades of blue, and sometimes 2 gloss levels. Will post the 1967 chart in a few minutes.

Here's the 1967 chart from Sept / Oct 1966 Chev Service News -- You can see the PPG (Ditzler) code that Bill C's referring to.
