Has it truly ever been determined how many real 69 ZL1 Corvettes were actually made?

Of that quantity, anyone know how many still exist?

Yes, I am aware of the yellow and white ZL1's. I remember other posts about a Monaco Orange car and maybe others.

I believe at last count, there were two built, and about a dozen still exist today.

The only ones absolutely documented are the yellow one and the orange one.

The white one has been questioned for many years.

Does the white '69 with hardtop, side mount headers, Americans, flares, etc. (prototype?/engineering built) that appeared in one of the auto mags with ZAD along with the engineering LT-1 count? It wasn't production.

I sat in the yellow one a few weeks back at Roger's here in Orlando - ya, right, and I'm still picking the buckshot outa my butt. Yes, it still sits there in his Trophy Row with all the other jewels of his collection - all with their hoods released. Personally, I like that red 67 L-88 he bought at the Mecom Auction a few years back up at Pheasant Run.

I think some folks count Zora's "development" car, the white one, as a production ZL1, but it's not.
There is the yellow one that Rodger has, and then there's the Monaco Orange, automatic, that is still owned by the original owner, and he still has the original engine, tho I don't think it is in the car right now, but I may be wrong...

The original owner told me he sold it , would not say where it went,
that was 6 months ago

I did not know John had sold his car...
I guess the $$$$ must have been too hard to turn down, which is understandable.

i think he got tired of the "experts" telling him it was not the real thing.
