Rechrome bumper: how much and where?

I own a 64 and am considering having all of the bumpers rechromed. I live in Bel Air, Maryland. Does anyone have an idea of what I should expect to pay for the service? Also, does anyone know of anyone local who can do the work? If not local, how about just in general?

When I had my my bumpers done and the license bar I used Librandi's Plating in Middletown, Pa. ( 717-944-9442) 93 Airport Road, just down the street from the Harrisburg,Pa airport. They did a great job and at that time when I checked around they where a little higher than others but then when I added the cost of freight to others they were lower. I also could hand deliver them. They also buffed all of my stainless trim.
Don't know the cost now but about 5 years ago it was $175/ corner & $50 for the license bar. Give 'em a call, you are close enough to deliver them.

This was discussed just a few weeks back. Check the post FRANKFORT PLATING that began December 4. Frankfort was not recommended, but a few others were. Some close to home.

Also use the SEARCH function above and search under "chrome plating". A number of similar posts and recommendations are shown. This should provide the info you want.

Hi Vince,
I had a very good experience with Librandi's too. I think the work they do is beautiful. I paid $175 for each of my rear bumpers which I guess would be comparable to your 4 bumpers.
I really liked the fact that they are close enough for me to drop off and pick up the parts. (I live in Westminster, so you're close enough, too.) I was pleased that I could be there when they inspected the parts and we could discuss just what they were going to do.

Another vote for Todd Librandi in Harrisburg, PA. He's done many things for me. I've always been pleased.

NOT too far to drive for us. Librandi's shop is LITERALLY at the end of one of the runways at Harrisburg PA Intl. Airport. The airport is actually in Middletown, PA, but....I'm splitting hairs.

You can drive there in a little over an hour. Head up I 83. Get off at the PA Turnpike going EAST. Go one exit....get off and follow the signs to the airport. Librandi's is on Airport Drive, which circles the airport.

Vince, I have also used Librandi's with positive results. Easy for you to get to as it is a straight shot up "The Harrisburg" I-83 North. I used to live in Forest Hill.

Also used Frankford and my experience so unsatisfactory it is unprintable.
