Touch-up paint Trivia for all Corvettes

Surprised that many Car and Corvette owners don't realize GM offered accessory touch-up paint for C1's up and even today on the C6's . Vary vary rare to located for early Corvette and car.
There great to see the real original colors and tint of your Corvette color! I have them for 55 and my C6 also.

Roy, these are great! Are the tips like magic markers, wide and angled or pointed? Did the (C1) boxes come in sets for full sized Chevys and a set for Corvettes?

Thanks for all the great stuff!

I found one (GM touch-up) under the seat of my 71. It has a fine brush attached to the cap. It is very pasty and has darken considerably but I keep it as memorabilia. Mike

A brush tip, both car and Corvette like today. Thanks for your response, I try to inform people by using the word Trivia because there was so much GM offered, I cover mostly C1 but C2 also had many but leave that to some one els . The board has been kind to me letting me post these silly things even tho there not NCRS accepted .

I was surprised to find that GM no longer stocks the touch up paint for my C5. Geeze the car ain't that old and parts are already drying up. Can't get a weatherstrip either.

Nevertheless, the GM parts rep told me they get their touch up paint made by Duplicolor and suggested I contact them. No luck there either.

Just go down to your local auto paint store, and have them mix you up a batch.

Back in '61 when I bought my Jewel Blue car from Nickey Chevrolet, they included a tube of touch-up paint. I think it was in the car when I sold it. I never used it!

This is the GM paint they just sent me when I purchased our 2008 Suburban LTZ. If they have it for the Suburban, I would think they have it for the Corvette. It is still in the "original" package.

This may get some old farts thinking back when we were POOR and couldn't afford a shop to touch paint our car.Was this self paint kit using the (engine) for air pressure , it had different adapters for screwing into the spark plug hole and toch up paint bottles as I showed . Man! I must be older then dirt

Jake, they did used to carry the paint like that for my C5 but its already discontinued. Hey if they are discontinuing parts that soon where will the restorers of the future stand?
