C1 rear leaf springs

I've cleaned up the original leaf springs on my 61. All the part numbers are correct . I noticed that both base springs( the longest ones that bolt to the mounting points have a small "R" cast in them in the center rib area. Is this just a casting ID mark or are there left and right designations on factory springs?

Just a casting mark---have never seen an "L". Springs are interchangeable right to left, as you know, and not oriented left/right by the factory.
