No offense guys, but I'm wore out on the auto bailout this, big three that, dealerships closing, etc. If I want to depress myself I can just read a newspaper. I like to visit here for technical talk about classic vettes, not current events, so can we create a forum for non-technical Corvette related discussion? Please?

Re: We need another section/forum
Steven,
No offense back. Adding additional sections requires additional work/monitoring from the NCRS folks that maintain this forum.
It's the old adage, if you don't like the thread, don't click on it.
There are many members here that enjoy and learn about their cars and
their history listening to the rants and views of some of the older members
who were there in the day. I for one found it very interesting to read the viewpoints of our members. I realize this is a "technical forum", but the color of the wire that connects to your signal flasher pales in the light of
"this thing of ours" may come to an end.

Re: We need another section/forum
I too have been following the discussions about the big 3 bailout to some degree, probably more for my personal interest as a retired GM employee - but it is indeed depressing. However, The level of the discussion was, in my opinion, top notch. I am proud and humble to be associated with the members who have posted on these threads. There has been a high degree of knowledge and good old American common sense expressed, the likes I have not heard or seen on any media program or cable news show. I have learned a lot and have a new found understanding of the situation, beyond the emotional attachment I have naturally due to my own personal situation. A hardy Thank You to you all, and a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We'll make it through this and be lot better for it, of this I am certain.

Re: We need another section/forum
Post #2 and #3 sum it up for me. There are a lot of posts I never open because I don't think that they necessarily apply to me and my '59. But then there are times I do open posts to get ideas. I choose what I am interested in.
If we made everything a different forum, heck those poor guys who own cars that were made after they quit making Corvette in '67would be awfully lonesome.
My two cents worth - Sully- Top

You don't have to read all the threads and the titles give you a pretty good idea of what they're all about.
I want to thank the moderator(s) for letting us go "off topic" in these unusual times.

Anymore off topic stuff, and I'll break yer legs!
Besides, I only unnerstand technical stuff. Lawyer and business talk makes my eyes glaze over faster than Cheech hits the bottom of the East River after I trow him overboard with cement shoes on.- Top
