Can some one tell me when they went from the first design vent (top pic) to the second design vent.Thanks

My made in April '54 has the first design.

Troy Thanks ! The reason I bring this up is because I see people using them in 55's and I know 55 had the second design and so little is covered about things under the dash area including these vents.

April 14th car (s/n ****2033) had 2nd design. I've always wondered when the changeover occured. Have seen 53's with 2nd type and 55's with 1st design and everything inbetween. Should not be rocket science to narrow this one down.

Problem is so few 53 to 55 people on this forum , that's why posting trivia get little responce

I can't find the interchange data right now but weren't these also used on passenger cars?

The design was different then Corvette but the same idea
