Butch -- was my response yesterday, and the link to a previous thread that I posted not sufficient to describe the options ?

Here's yesterday's link (which contains another link to solutions offered by other members). Email me if nothing works -- my solution was the most drastic .

        Re: c-2 question

Butch -- no problem. Here's a pic of how bad mine was. Living on borrowed time before the clutch pedal would fall off approaching a stop light .

My NOS replacement has a bead of weld on the top of where the rod protrudes though the pedal (maybe they realized they had a problem ).

Thanks for the info, my unit is not broken like that, but were the pedal and shift connect it is about to fall apart, I have a good weekend project, parts on UPS now, shows I should have them in the a.m. at worst I can get it pulled apart and get everything cleaned up and ready to put together. Again I really apprciate all of the help, I am learning so much about my car, THANK !!!!!

          Best regards
