    Virgin '63-'64 small block

    Hypothetically speaking.....,

What do y'all think a Virgin (still in crate) complete short block, for a high horse power/Fuelie car would be worth?

Motor has never been stamped, and would be good for any late '63, or early '64 vehicle.

    Thanks,
    David

        Stu,
Just my coffee......but the acid I dropped back in the '60s could be coming back to haunt me....

            Michael,

EXACTLY.....so being it's VIRGIN with clean stamp pad etc....what value does that have?

One would think for a Barrett Jackson level car this would be invaluable? No

How much to get that out of your garage/storage and take it off your hands?

I'd sell it for what ever someone would be willing to pay for it. Only problem is... it's not mine.

                David,

Could you photograph in detail the stamp pad and date on that block. It would be valuable for a teaching aid to the judges if indeed the tooling marks were visable.

                Thanks,

                JR

I have never been to BJ, but I get the impression folks out there only care about shiny, flash and sparkle. They don't need no stinking numbers!

                    Terry,
Very good point, in that using BJ was a bad example.....

Re: Virgin '63 small block complete with FI

Needed an engine for my tanker several years ago and a gentleman from the west coast sold me the complete package for $10,000.00. Story was one of 5-6 engines meant for 63 race car in 1963 but never used. My plan was to take another shot at Bloomington Gold but decided my silver was a nice award, because no race car has the original engine.
