1954 new top
I am about to begin a restoration on a 1954 corvette. Considering convertable top manufactures, Recommendations appreciated. Al Knoch? John Kennedy?? Thanks for suggestions, and also interior recommendations.

I put a new AL knock top on my 54 last year and it fit great. Got top flight, bloomington gold, and gold spinner with the car. If I remember I got some points off because I left the tag on the rear window. Bloomington said no tag in 54. Sorry but I can't look at the judging sheets as I have sold the car. Hope this helps. -

lynn: if you've installed a couple convert tops in the past, al's top will probably fit fairly well. if you've never done one,+/or want it perfect, get with mr kennedy. his tops fit perfect. mikeComment

Lynn, Al noch did my top this summer. It looks great. They have done a lot of these, and I liked that Al himself was fully involved in the installation (It was done at the Pomona Swap Meet and Car Show in CA).
I'd have them do it again.Comment

I have installed a few top myself , not perfect like the factory "original's" were and that's why I have no problem clamping it down with out having the window top molding pull lose or rear hinges not holding .
