    C3 2" Exhaust

    Hope this generates some interest....
I recently contacted Gardner Exhaust Systems & mentioned that I'm looking for a complete 2" system for my 1971 350/270 4 spd.
Currently, Gardner does not offer a replacement 2" system.

Here's the response that I recieved from Eric Gardner:
"We would like to do the 2" system, however, we do not have original pipes in our hand yet. I have a person who claims he was going to send them to us but as of yet we have not seen them. Let the hobbiests know we will copy a new for old as long as they can get us some rusty old original pipes. We will replace or purchase any rusty old orignal corvette pipes we do not have as of yet. We are picking away at this project daily so please keep us in mind even though we don't have your particular system right now."

    Best Regards,
    Eric Gardner

So, if anyone has original 2" pipes that are on their way out, perhaps you could send them to Gardner, get a free replacement, and help alot of other folks out too.
    Spread the word. Thanks

    Re: C3 2" Exhaust

I may have been the person Eric was talking about, as I offered to send him my original 2" pipes. But, the original pipes I have are presently in use on my car. So I'm trying to work with a muffler-shop friend of mine to copy the original bends to economically replicate a replacement so I can still use my car while the original pipes are with Eric and being reproduced.
Also, I'm an avid hunter, and now being the heart of hunting season, my loyalties are split at the moment.
But, I do intend to try my best to get this done shortly after the New Year.

        Re: C3 2" Exhaust

I have some used 2 inch front pipes that which definitely appear to be GM, but not sure if factory or service replacements. (but I really have no idea about difference between factory originals and service replacements on the 2 inch versions)

I do not really have a need for them.

Who made the OEM 2' pipes? Walker, AP, Maremont, etc. Anyone know? Thank you Dale

Not sure about the C3 era, but Walker made the midyear systems (except for the N-11 system from the trans crossmember back, which was made by Arvin).
