    Parts Identification

I need help in identifying the parts you see below.

The Delco Remy horns have 455 and 456 on them. They need resoring and there is a kit with these. I think they belong to a 1963

The other oicture are headlight "brackets" and I don't know which year they belong to. The one on the left has L1 and the one on the right has a "B".

    Thanks,

    jerry

The horns are the PRODUCTION horns used for 1963 Corvettes.

The headlight ring on the left is the style used from 1958 through the late 60's. I believe this particular "L1" ring was used for the left side inner position.

The headlight ring on the right is the style used from the late 60's through 1982. The "B" coded ring is used for the right side inner position.

Although what I described above represents the original application for the rings, either of the rings can be used for any 58-82 Corvette (and most other GM cars with 4 headlight systems) for the positions indicated.

      Joe,

Any idea what they are worth? They are in need of restoration. The bodies are very solid.

Regarding value for parts like these, I know not.

The horns are worth something as the 63 horns are hard to find. A restored set could fetch $300.00. Put an add in the restorer.
I don't think there is anything special about the bulb holders.

The headlight cup on the left is unique to 58 through 63. (different than 64-67) The one on the right would be original to somewhere around 69 and later, and also service replacement for 58 and later.

Joe, THANKS for the reply, would this be the same on 68-82?

I'm not sure that the A, B, C, and D-coded rings were used for 1968, although they may have been. Otherwise, though, it's the same from 1969-82.
