Push Button Lever

C1, 1959, push button Lever problem!
Behind the Door Handle are placed the Push Button Lever which are activated by the Push Button and my problem is how the Push Button Lever are mounted behind the Handle.I know that the Push Button Lever Rod are placed downwards but the opposite end with the hole how should that be mounted?
