Can this 66 convertible mounting bushing be right?

Good evening all,

Recently purchased a 65-67 convertible body mounting kit from CRC Corvette reproductions. As you see in the image the new mouning bushing on the right (position #3) appears much thinner and spindlely than the one removed....older bushing being thicker. The mounting bushings on the car were replaced in the early 80's. Was or did the wrong mounting bushings get used in the 80's as they are much thicker? Does the new replacement appear correct? Lastly, if replacement does not look correct who then is selling a correct (functional as well) replacement? Thanks in advance.

The one on the right looks like the correct one to me. The one pictured on the left which was removed from the car looks more like a 73-82 mount to me.

Michael I have a 66 Convertible and have had the body off the frame. The bushing on the right is the correct one. Regards Jim Lucia

Thanks guys. First mid year restored a '66 coupe had the body already mounted when purchased and my '63 is of course shimmed to the frame....so was unsure if I had been sold a skimpy replacement . Now there is the another possibility, the older mounting cushion was on sterioids..

Hey...can someone help me with two of these, located just below the interior door sill opening. 63-67 coupe or convertible, left and right sides.

I do know that both those plates snap on to the sill back - should have 3 clips on each side. The strips go on with the opening in the middle facing down at the floor. Wiring runs underneath the strips - one thicker wire runs out to the back I would say for the stop lights, etc. One other thin wire comes out that u shaped opening and runs under the carpet. Don't remember exactly what wires run behind the strips - but I am sure someone with the right answers will post.

Nothing to answer as to the covers application....am familar. My request is the need for for the left and right side. Thanks though.

Both sides are required to support the carpeting in that area.

Do disrespect but am aware of the application. Mine was/is a request "does any one out there have these". Need the left and right side. Thanks again.
