    Stock Radio sucks

I added this radio years ago along with the CD changer in the trunk and love it . Because some asked how to do one and keep the original one installed for looks .

Roy, I love the fact that you like good sounding music also. Check out an Ipod. I have almost 6000 songs and can go for over 2 months without repeat. You won't have to change the cartridge either. It has a shuffle so you can be your own radio station. Nice job on the install. Paul
    It's a good life!

      That's a great idea, Roy!
I was going to do something similar, until my nephew gave me his, old, obsolete iPod, which was less than 2 years old, and in perfect working order. Of course, I obliged my poor nephew, and relieved him of his old, POS iPod. I loaded it with about 2000 of my favorite "oldies" from 1950-1974 (courtesy of LimeWire), bought myself a cigarette lighter adapter, and now use it in my Corvettes. It employs the principle of "RF modulation", which sounds impressive, but I have no idea WTF it is. Anyways, it plays my entire music library through the high tech monaural speaker of my '65, or through the amplified Bose system of my '85. It sounds just like original, playing through that high tech 4 x 10 oval where my "plastic Jesus" is perched on my '65, just below the fuzzy dice hanging from the rv mirror.

Boy I need to do something about this radio! I noticed when ever I sing with the radio, it goes off key! Besides, what does AM stand for? Awful Music?

I have been an iPod fan for about 5 years now and still love 'em. It goes wherever I go whether it be my daily driver, business rental car, or the shop stereo system. And with the FM transmitter/charger you don't have to carve up your vintage ride to enjoy your favorite tunes.

I'm a huge fan of XM- tons of different music stations and no commercials.
