'67 hood ledge weatherstrip pins

I was looking for something else on eBay when I came across "1967 hood ledge weatherstrip pins" from Corvette Central. They're two round-head pins for $1.50. My car doesn't have them, at least as far as I can find. Where do they go? On the weatherstrip mounted to the hood where it meets the cowl?

they are used on the ends of the weatherstrip. mike

Larry,

If your car is an AO Smith car, the hood to cowl weatherstriping has no pins at the ends and no holes for them in the hood. They were just glued in place at the ends. St. Louis cars had the pins at the end and the holes.
