Membership List

It would be nice if NCRS had a membership list of some sort that we could look at to find members. I belong to the ADC Club & they publish a membership book every 2 years. I know NCRS has too many members to do this but at least it could be on line. It would be a good way to find members that we have lost contact with. A lot of us are retiring & moving.

There is a members List. It's center left on second blue line above....If you know the person's name it's easy to find (If they are still a member)

I mean all the members. Not just the one's on the forum. Even the list for this forum is hard to use. Names listed by first name? I would like to see a list of ALL members names & NCRS # at least. The ACD CLUB lists names,#'S ,addresses & the cars they have. In this day & age you can find anything about anyone so I see no privacy issue. If someone wants to opt out OK.

I am already inudated with catalogs. Like I said there are no secerets or places to hide. Are you saying that one of our members would sell the list to Corvette Central,Paragon,MID AMERICA. I am glad that none of our members order anything over the internet. I am sure that you never buy anything over the internet,use a credit card & give your email add. It's a new day.

No need to sell anything to those vendors. They are members of NCRS and would get any membership list that is distributed to members -- and so would a lot of other membership businesses.

Just for entertainment this year I have a cardboard box in the kitchen that I have been putting all the junk catalogs that come in the mail everyday. I only started this Nov 1st and already I can hardly lift the box. Unbelievable the catalogs. It's disgusting and such a waste of money and certainly not beneficial to the "Green".
The membership list available at the top of the page is super. I never looked at it before. Now I know what DW stands for. JD

That's my point. We all buy from the vender's & give our email Add. What"s the big deal. I guess that people are quaking in there boots that someone has there add. or email. I knew this would be the response. This is how my 84 year old Mom thinks, By then way some ACD members have million $ cars & they are not worried about anything why are you.

Not me Ken. My name, address, and phone number were in The Restorer for well over 20 years -- when I was Team Leader and then when I was Editor.

Like JD and you, I get an embarrassing number of catalogs. I can't imagine getting any more.

I belong to several clubs which publish membership directories periodically, and can count on one hand the number of times I have been contacted by members of those clubs. On the other hand, when I was Team Leader and Editor I had repeated member contacts. It didn't bother me -- it was part of the job, and I enjoyed it.

It still happens -- I got a call today and went to look at a cylinder case someone thought might be out of a Corvette. Turned out to be a 427 Tall Deck Truck case dated A3070. Oh well -- it was a fun trip in the snow and ice, and I got to meet some new people.

A membership list would not have a lot of value to me, but I recognize that doesn't mean that others wouldn't find added value to it. If you want to contact someone, post here and someone will send you their contact information. I have participated in that several times, but I will not post personal contact information. I think that is uncalled for. PM works fine.
