69 Smog Pump Diverter Valve

Hi.

I have a question regarding the diverter valve part number on my 69 350, - 350hp.

The NCRS manual says that the part # should be on the flat side of the valve bellow the muffler.

Mine has no number bellow the muffler but has 7034481 on the neck where the 2 hoses attach. The box that the valve came in has the correct part# on it (7029199).

So is the 7034481 a casting # ??? and if it is should it have the GM number bellow the muffler or is this valve incorrect for my application?

Hi Anthony

Flip your diverter and read inbetween the mounting holes as pictured. 69 small block is 29199 with GL black ink on the round dome end. As pictured is a 68 427, 69 427L88

7034481 is the casting number for the COMPONENT of the valve on which it is embossed. The same component is found on other diverter valves and, consequently, does not identify any particular valve.
