72 LT-1 Pin Stripe Paint Color

Is the PPG Classic White 8631 the correct color for the 72 LT-1 hood pin stripe?

I'll check my book on that color code, but I do know that part of the stripe was a stick on pin stripe and the rest was painted on. The painted on section was the longest two sections of the stripe running from the front to the rear of the power bulg on the LT-1 hood

Sorry Larry, but NO part of the original 1970-1972 LT1 hood stripe was stick-on pin stripe. The LT-1 label was stick-on -- both styles, but the stripes were all painted on.

I placed an order for some lacquer paint with my local PPG dealer for the Classic White 8631 and Elkhart Green 2438. I'm using the paint code numbers off of the AutoColorLibrary website. Hopefully, I'll have paint and stripes on my hood within a couple of weeks. And hopefully, the paint will be a closer match than the paint I removed from the hood.
