    67 big block hood

    I purchased a '67 big block hood that I've heard is called an "egg crate" hood. The bottom of the hood has lots of thin supports that make it look very strange and bolt on supports for the hood hinges, hood support, and hood pins. The bottom is flat fiberglass. The hood has numbers on the cowl as below;

    65977
    0-321903

    I purchased this hood and had it painted Marina Blue with a white stinger to hang on a wall in my garage, "wall art". I've heard it's a later GM over the counter hood, one other person said it's a prototype '67 427 hood. Either way, it's probably not a hood for any serious '67 427 owner. Any comments on what it may be? It sure looks cool on my wall.

      It is actually a GM hood, but was made many years after the model year run. It is injection molded. It is basically worthless, so on the wall is the right place for it.

        Thanks, on the wall it will stay.
