    '70 Fuel Tank Straps

    Thanks in advance...

    The straps I have removed from my untouched fuel tank are black in color. The judging manual says they are to be natural...

    Natural as in the color of the tank? My originals don't seem to have been painted, however after a thorough cleaning they are still black...

    Appreciate any help offered..

      Leave them black.

      Can you tell me what page you found the finish of the tank straps?

          Black.
          Dip painted, in fact. The set that I worked on last year had lots of obvious drips.
