Hello, iam in need of help with the wiring harness running down column, does it get run inside of the plastic cover on column ? When it is run in the plastic sleeve it has just enough lenght for connector to come out the end of it, and it would be visible at base of column, dosent seem right, also there is a small clip on the other end of harness where column harness would plug into where does this mount, its lenght limits positions, looks like maybe on brake pedal mount ? Does anyone have any photos ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Mike Prockish

Re: 67 tele wiring routing
The steering column wiring harness connector mounting is called out on UPC 12, Sheet B3 of your copy of the AIM book. Once the dash harness connector is mated to the steering column connector, the side clip slides onto the side fange of the steering column brace assy.- Top

Re: 67 tele wiring routing
Jack thanks for input, so based on info you provided the column harness can not go under plastic sleeve, as connector is mounted to column brace, wouldnt allow it because of length, so based on that there will be a pretty good length of wiring on the column harness end, does it just get tucked up under dash, i looked at AIM very hard to tell as copy is very poor. Re: 67 tele wiring routing
Mike,
Some time ago I used Steve pictures to route the signal switch wiring on my 67. I could have never figured it out from the AIM where the connector clips on. The thing that's confusing is the concave shape of the connector. One would expect that the shape of the connector would run with the shape of the column and be around the column.
But no, on a 67 it is opposite. Steve's pictures are correct.
