I'm well into a complete body off restoration on my 1964 327 convertible with Top Flight in mind. This is my first one and even though I have done a lot of research I think it would really help to see and photograph a Top Flight or Benchmark example. I'm in Northern California, does anyone have any info on an event where this might be possible? Or maybe a private car I could see? I don't mind traveling to get this done.

Re: Where Can I go see an example...
Benchmark(TM) is an award given by Bloomington Gold. The best place to see them is in St. Charles Illinois on the last full weekend of June. That is the current date and location of the one and only Bloomington Gold show.
Top Flight and BowTie Awards are issued by NCRS. The next NCRS Regional meet is in Kissimmee Florida January 22-24 (I think I have those dates right, but check them behind the "EVENTS" button at the top of the page). The back page of your Driveline will have other regional events listed. You might find a Top Flight '64 at a chapter meet, but there is no way to be sure. The best place to see examples of Bowtie Corvettes is The NCRS National Convention, and you are in luck -- This summer it is in San Jose.
At any of these there is no way to be sure a 1964 example will be at the meet. You would be well advised to check a number of 1964 Corvettes since using only one as an example poses risks that whatever detail you are interested in was not "restored" correctly on the car you are looking at. In the case of an original car, you are best off finding one as close to your serial number as possible, and from the same body manufacturer -- again just to be sure the details that attract your attention are applicable to your car.Terry- Top

I think Florida sounds fun and I'm sure I would not have any problem talking my wife and kids into it! San Jose is one that I will make for sure but a lot will be done on the car before spring. Thanks for the great advise.- Top
