Just logged in to say "Hi"

    Hi all
New to the forum but not to the NCRS. I have been a member since I picked up a 72 Stingray coupe back in the spring of 94. Joined the local South East chapter of the NCRS and became friends with all the motorheads down south, Bill, John, Carl, Fred, Dave, Keith and Ronnie...to name a few

Jump to 2008 and I find myself living in northern VA and have joined the Mid Atlantic chapter....problem is I have not met too many folks in my area, plus I'v been busy with work.

Parked in my garage now is a 1994 Admiral Blue coupe...with "0" options on her, base air, base seats and an automatic trans is all that was built into the Vette

I plan to go Top Flight with this Vette...when the NCRS puts it in the judging line up.

I hope I can share some of my deep knowledge of 72's and 94's on here that will help some folks.

    Take care and drive on

    Larry

    Larry,

I am a fairly new member that also has a c-4, (92). I also have a 69 that I am working on. When asking questions on C-4's not many members are on line that own them. We are one of the rare ones. Wish you luck with 94 its a good car.

    Joe

            Larry, Joe;

Welcome aboard one of the most knowledgeable forums! Since you both have C4 generation 'vettes as well, you might want to hang with the Corvette Forum's C4 section for fellow lovers of that generation. As far as the '69 & '72 models, their my favorite generation.

I just ran my '92 through the judging process this past May. Here's what I learned:

Carry a fire extinguisher, install both a battery cut-off and NCRS decal.
Make sure all operations features work.
Find and clean your VIN plate on the engine. It is hard to find.

                Have fun. I did.

                  Bill,

Thanks for the advice on the 92. The only things that give me trouble on the 92 are the seats, the rear speakers, and blowing fuses on the mirrors. Any insight on these items that you may have run into would be helpfully. The seat motors I am just cheap and do not want to spend $200 each on rebuilt rails. I would rather rebuild them myself. Other than those issues the car pleasure to drive.

                    Joe:

The only problems I've had (so far) is a water pump and back-up lights (6-speed). I learned about the back-up lights when we did Operations at the Michigan Regional.
