I'm looking at a 59 to buy and it has a bezel very poorly installed with four studs on top of the speaker grille and I/P cover. I am told that this year did not have the bezel, only the grille portruding through the cover. Can anyone verify what the correct installation should be.? I know this is probably in Noland's book and other reference manuals, but I'm short on time and need a quick opinion. Thanks.

Re: 59 Radio speaker grille
I have a last day of production 1959. The car had its original interior, dash pad etc. when I acquired it. It did not have a speaker bezel, nor was there any evidence of ever having it.

Re: 59 Radio speaker grille
Thanks, Ed, I really didn't think they had one. Don't know what happened to Rob's car along the way, but maybe they were experimenting for the 1960 model at the plant. Who knows? Anyway, appreciate your confirmation. Don't really want to get involved with a I/P cover replacement and windshield removal, etc. that goes along with it.Chuck Lyman
