As a kid I owned a 57 Corvette Pedal Car which my mother threw away after several years. Does anyone know how many of these toys were built. My dad worked for Chevrolet thats how I obtained it. I also had a 1967 Corvette Camaro board game from Chevrolet and as you guessed my Mother threw that away also. Lets not even talk about promo models. She hated a cluttered house? Anyway does Anyone have info on these dealer items. (value, production, photos? )

Re: 57 Corvette pedal car
Hi Walter,
Did your pedal car look something like the one in the photos below? (This one wasn't a pedal car, but a one-off, with some sort of motor.) A guy was selling it at Carlisle this past August.

Re: 57 Corvette pedal car
Not at all. It was pretty detailed for a toy pedal car. Down to the seat pattern with small squares like the real 57 to a floor shift that actually had a neutral gear where the pedals would not work unless you put it into the drive gear. It was also white and was to my knowledge only available through Chevy dealers. The game was a road course where you pulled your Corvette or Camaro with a magnetized stick through the course .- Top

Re: 57 Corvette pedal car
Walter, I have one of these at my shop that a customer dropped off for me to paint last week.(body only) the story from him is that one went to each dealership. they were made of plastic then and after a while they became brittle and broke very easy if left out in the weather. he found this one in the sixties and some time in the seventies someone reproduced the bodies in fiberglass. he has had it a lot of years and is now putting it together. this body it is very detailed and nice quality, about four feet long.- Top

Re: 57 Corvette pedal car
The car was made by Iska and was a production car. More that dealers had them. One guy makes reproduction parts for the car better thatn originals and had said that he will eventually make the body aas they are made with a plastic that is not really repairable. Yardman also made a '60 corvete that was given away by General Mills as a 2nd prize.................Hertz also did one in '62
