    Re-chrome cast grills & louvers '71

Any suggestions on who to send my 3 piece egg crate grill and side louvers to? I'm getting my ducks in a row and that will be one of the first parts off the car.

    Thanks!

You aren't going to plate the front center grill are you?

5 pieces total plus maybe the front supports, but i know that the cast metal ones need special care or I will end up with scrap metal.

        Hi Pete,
I believe what Richard was referring to was that the center grill, behind the license plate, wasn't chrome plated. It didn't need to be since it was entirely painted.
Although they're a good hike from you, why don't you give Librandi's near Harrisburg Pa. a call, ask for Todd and see what he has to say about your grills.
They did the bumpers on my 71 and I've really been quite pleased.
        Regards,
        Alan

Thanks Allen and Richard, I could not tell and the ones I'v looked at seemed like they were either left alone or??? as you cannot see them under the license plate frame.
          Mine are just dull.

I will give your recomendation a call.

            Hi Pete,
If you end up deciding to have the grills re-plated you'll then have to repaint them. There have been some very good threads recently and in the not too distant past about appropriate colors, configurations and methods. Good Luck with your project!
