    Maryland Registry of Motor Vechiles

Anyone have an address or phone number for the Maryland DMV? Just purchased a 62 that came from MD and looking for the original owner. I have a title number from MD. Thanks in advance. Paul Mazut

Paul, good luck with the MAryland DMV. I tried to research my 64 and they sent me back a letter stating "the privacy act prevented them from sharing". Keep us posted if you get somewhere...

I owned a 1962 in Maryland which I purchased new. What are the last four digints of your VIN? Maybe I can help you.

If you are fortunate enough to have a friend that works in stolen cars at the Maryland State Police or MVA, they have the means to track the numbers I have been told. I live in Maryland and it's hard enough to find a person at and local MVA that is friendly enough to say "good morning" let alone actually help you !! I think they go through "special" training to work there or it's the other "Area 51".

              Hi Paul:

You used to be able to get this info. If you went directly to the Glen Burnie, MD DMV they would give it to you for $5.00 per "record"

BUT....that changed a number of years ago....10 or so to the best of my recollection.

I do not believe you can get it today, due to the privacy laws.
