Hello,

As part of my collecting habit, I'm looking for an old article from the one of the car rags that had a shoot out between the 70-72 LT-1's. Maybe it was Road and Track. Is anybody familiar with this article? Does anybody have one or know where I can get one?

The only article that comes to mind was a test of ALL 1969 engine options, including an LT1 that was "built" from Camaro parts by a California Chevrolet dealer. Cars was the title of the magazine. But that is not what you described.

Both Car & Driver and Motor Trend have published compendiums of their Corvette road tests. I see them for sale by Motor Books from time to time, and I believe they have been offered by our own NCRS store -- they might still be offered there. I have a few such articles. Is there anything in particular you're looking for?

I know one of them compared the LT-1's and made the assertion that they were virtually identical in terms of performance despite the different HP ratings.

What I have is a Motor Trend article from june of '72 that compares the base, bb and LT-1 cars.

You want Car Life magazine from August 1970 it has a multi page road test.
