I have been told that some 1984 Corvettes that were built in 1983 had 30th Anniversary emblems on the sides of the front of the clam shell hood. Is this true or false. Was this a dealer option?

Re: 1984 30th anniversary edition
Walter, My 83 was built in May of 83. I started collecting the early C4 literature as soon as the car came on the market around March of 83. The local dealer was a customer of mine in my restaurant and Al brought me everything under the sun as far as literature goes. I never saw the emblems you spoke of.
The good MD's Dec 83 only had(has) 7 miles on it and it didn't have the emblems. Course it also didn't (don't) run.
Rumor has it that the car is soo original that it still has the original gas in it. Now that's a real bow tie car for sure. JD- Top

I am so glad to see you got one of those 1983 Corvettes. A rare one for sure. Does it have the metal body too?Terry- Top
