Terry -- obviously too early here in the mountains (still dark when posted) and I hadn't had my orange juice .

Cool cars. When I was in High School there was a fellow that would drive his sister and himself to school in a L-88. It was 1969-1970 and most of us drooled (figuratively)over that Corvette (most of us didn't even own a car).

Not sure about N14; this was the black/blk car with the factory blue hoodstripe. If they ordered side exhaust it didn't last long -- also the windshield frame was cut off shortly after its first efforts on the track. Believe early pics are in that book "... years of raucous silence" (can't recall exact title).

I remember standing beside Wayne's black tow vehicle and trailer watching the L-88 come out of the trialer at Copper Mountain national. The soound was !

I thought I remember reading it left the factory with a red stripe and was changed as TD liked the blue better

            Lace,

Nice PIC of Foss's beautiful 68 L89 during Bowtie judging last year. Bosselman is a sharp guy but that guy in the green shirt is an idiot and I know plenty of people here that will back me up on that.

Wayne, great pic of the DiLornezo L88. The car did leave the factory with a red stripe which was changed to blue and it was not a sidepipe car. It did come with power windows

Ed Foss is not in the picture.
Mark is - thus the "jabs" at him.
It is, however, Ed's green L-89.

Tom -- first pic is another view taken at same border crossing (check flares).

2nd pic is of warranty booklet and backside Michigan title. Looks like it wasn't signed over until Jan of 1969.

3rd pic is of tags and front side of Michigan title. Looks like it ran on M.S.O. until title issued 7-22-68.

4th pic is a digital flip of Protect-o-Plate -- notice 'IT' block assembled Jan 13th, and 3.70 differential assy. 30th Dec (1966). Can't figure out M22 trans dates. If '66 MY, should be P0717. Car 9097 would have been produced about 26 Jan.

'67 Black hats should have plausible explanations for all of this .
