    VIN# Question

I just recently checked the "Authentic Corvette Restoration Guide 1963-1967" Chapter 2--"Identfying the Sting Ray"--on page 31 it states that when identifying a convertible "37" (4th & 5th digit) is used while a "67" designates a coupe. I have been advised that in fact a "67" denotes a convertible and a "37" is a coupe. Can someone clear this up for me? Seems strange that this book may have it wrong.

      I second the backwards !! 37 is a coupe.
