    Back to original, or leave it alone?

    Hello;

    Thought this would be fun to discuss.

    I trust the lower picture is of a simulated jet engine power plant, circa "Bat Mobile". Either way, I'm sure the greater appreciation of the viewing public would be for the car as is - a real conversation piece at the local cruise-in. Is the top picture of the same car in a previous life?

      Hello Stuart;

      A friend emailed this to me, knowing my Corvette interest.

      Seems a Mark Shields built this off of the '78 pictured.

      He was copying the Keaton BatCar.

      Shows what a great car Corvettes are to be used in various ways.

      Just my 2 cents.

        Hi Ray,
        I agree with Stuart, the kids probably love that car at car shows.
        The workmanship on the front of the car looks really good. Often cars that get that kind of treatment are pretty roughly done.
        I think it's always interesting to see what people are doing with cars.
        Regards,
        Alan

          Did Gordy do that back when he had hair?

              We have the exact car here in Australia. It's at Movie world I could see straight away that it was a basterdised Corvette. It actually had a crowd of kids gathered around it. So you were right about the kids being interested in it !!!!

                I have to vote to put it in Top Flight condition---as a survivor. All it will take is a new body, available, a complete interior, available, likely correct drivetrain, available, and maybe a chassis, available. If it were mine I would make it one of the pilot line cars with ZL-1, M-22, 4.88, AC, PS, PB, with its original paint, etc.
