    Seat belt label stamps

Does anybody know someplace to get a date stamp for a 1967 seat belt label made? I have hade two made. Can't seem to get them to make them the correct size.

    Thank you,

    Randy

Make a file on your computer of exactly what you want, size, font, etc. Take the file and a hard copy to the stamp maker and they should be able to duplicate the stamp.

Intesting idea. So you have to match up both the font size and style, than have the stamp made. It seems that the tyvac material used for car covers would make a good material to stamp and use as a repro label.

I think he is only trying to put the date code on a label he has.

The first time around, I specified the height of the characters and the total length of the string of letters and numbers.(15E67). The letters on the stamp I received were to high. The string was too long.

The second time around I sent a photo of the one remaining label with the characters visible with dimensions and the instructions to match the existing. The font on the second stamp I received is incorrect and the string is too long to fit on the label.

I would like to try someplace else. Any ideas?

I haven't specifically made a stamp for the belts but I've made other stamps, even with unique symbols, and the stamp maker was able to replicate them.

I use a PHOTOSHOP program for this although you might be able to use "PAINT" if the font is available.

The key for me was to supply the stamp digitally. Ask your stamp maker what file extension he uses (ex. Jpeg, psd, bitmap, etc)
