I don't recall what his position was at St. Louis at that time, but Jim spent most of his career in the Quality area - he might have been the Quality Manager or the Reliability Supervisor. When he left the Chevrolet Pilot Line in 1970 or so, he became the Chief Inspector at Norwood.

I used to have a 1970 convertable that was a 454 /390HP automatic air-conditioned radio delete car that I was told was one of a group of the Omaha shriners cars. It was "Corvette Bronze", and I was going to repaint it red. When I found out the consequences of repainting an original car a different color (this was YEARS ago), I sold it, as I thought Corvette Bronze was an UGLY color.
