Al Grenning Seminar At Pro Team

Several folks have asked me about attending the Al Grenning seminar at Pro Team this Saturday, November 8th; to clarify, it's not limited to local Ohio NCRS members. Any NCRS member interested in the program is welcome to attend - just e-mail Beth (beth@proteamcorvette.com) if you plan to attend so she can manage the headcount for lunch.

John is there any way to find out where Al will be holding his seminars through out the year? I would like to attend one sometime but the only way would be to plan ahead to a meet that he will be at.

Suggest you contact Al directly at ALGRENNING@aol.com for his schedule.

John H., do you happen to know if Al will answer questions, if you not hiring him? I sent him a pretty simple question related to his expertise six months ago, and am still waiting for the answer. Thanks in advance for your input. Ridge.

it's upsetting that 99.9% of NCRS members freely volunteer their knowledge to fellow members while a small percentage make attempts at monetarily profiting from their NCRS membership.mike mccagh

This is the way the man makes part of his living. I would never expect some one to give me for free what they charge others for as there job. I talked to AL at the last one & he answered tons of our questions. Whether he belongs to NCRS is irrelevant. If he didn't charge he would be inandated with phone calls & emails.

              Mike,

If that is a shot at Al Grenning....then I really think you are way off base. As far as NCRS membership might go, I think he has been an outstanding fellow member to quite a few newer members over many years and has freely contributed his hard earned knowledge to anyone polite enough to address him in a respectful manner.

Al does not need any defending from me as most people who know him will surely know. HE'S NOT PROFITING FROM HIS MEMBERSHIP. He freely helps members every year and has contributed to the club more than most, just as you have.

As far as I know, as a retired music teacher, he does not own more than one Corvette.

And if he chooses to charge some folks for something they are willing to pay for, whether they are NCRS members or not, then I hope he can earn something in his retirement....so he can continue to afford to travel to all the NCRS events he can....where he continues to help and teach new members at every event.

Re: Al Grenning Seminar At Pro Team

Here is my experience with Al, several years ago I traveled to Columbus, Ohio a few years back to attend his seminar. I have a typo trim tag error for the color of my car. At the end of his seminar I approached him with my laptop to show him photos of my trim tag and explained to him of what I thought was a typo trim tag. He was very gracious even though he had to leave to catch a plane, he talked to others who were asking questions and thanked members of the hosting NCRS Chapter. We communicated via email afterwords and after viewing my photos and documentation, he concluded that I had a typo trim tag. I ran into him many months later at Bloomington Gold and introduced myself as the guy with the typo trim tag for color and once again was very gracious and stated he uses the photos I sent to him as an example in his seminars. He was extremely helpful and professional in my contacts with him.

I went to the seminar and I have to say I am very glad that I did! Seeing some great cars and visiting with friends and learning some things too is a nice diversion from the everyday grind.

I have to give Proteam cudos for having Al make a presentation. It can only make their job more difficult.

OR it could make their job easier if they attend the seminar and learn to identify fake trim tags like I'm sure they will!

Then they won't get stuck again and again with cars that have no options and owners waiting to screw the public thru Pro Team!

I'll give them a hand for sponsoring the seminar and another for learning as much as they can to stop the people out there trying to cheat the public!

                        My hats off to them!
