What is the correct part number for a LS-5 fuel pump, it is the 6470309 or the 6416741? Also does anyone know if the pumps are still made in USA?

The 6470309 ($14.25) is for the 454 70..73. the 6416741 ($14.10) is for the 427 68..69 with Tri-Power. The prices are for "back in the day"- Top

As Ken mentioned, the GM #6470309, aka AC 40770, is the correct pump for all 1970-74 Corvette 454's. It was this way back in 1970 and it's still that way today. However, the configuration of the pumps has changed in minor ways. This pump is a LONG CANISTER-style pump with provisions for fuel return.
The last Delco 40770 pump I purchased was made in USA.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I missed the thru 1974. The GM #6416741 is an AC 40482 I believe.

I'm pretty sure the 70-74 big block pump is manufactured by AIRTEX. Delco now manufactures no fuel pumps or, for that matter, any other parts, either. DELPHI, the "spun off" GM parts manufacturing operation never manufactured a mechanical fuel pump. Even when AC was a manufacturing division of GM, they stopped manufacturing mechanical fuel pumps in the mid 1980's. Since then, all AC mechanical fuel pumps have been manufactured by other companies. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 454 fuel pump
Back in the late 1970s I saw Blackstone Mannufacturing, in Chicago, making ACDelco mechanical fuel pumps. The site of their factory is now level ground, and I have no idea if they are even in business any longer.Terry- Top
