I dropped the differencial on my 71 (manual trans) this weekend and have a "rear suspension hardware kit" I purchased previously. The front diff. bracket had two bolts identical to the rear control arm pivot bolt-(bullet nose, castle nuts & cotter pins.) The new hardware kit has these peices for the control arms but also has a much different pair of bolts and nuts for the front diff. mounting bracket. Judging guide doesn't give much on the bolts used. The new bolts for diff. mount don't have the bullet-nose (guide) at the thread end and have the nuts that are tapered and crimped for tension on one side. If the control arm type bolts I removed are not correct, is it possible that it left the factory with them as there is no sign of servicing since assembly? Mike

Re: Correct Hardware?
Thanks Guys,
When the judging guide doesn't cover a particular detail, I have usually relied on the expertice of a given reputable repo parts supplier. Thanks to the NCRS I can always rely on you guys when something doesn't smell right. Thank you, Mike- Top
