    Rear end issue

I have a 1965, 327/365, 4 speed. Just recently: When I give the car pretty good throttle, it lunges to the left, sharply. So sharp now, when I correct the steering, it gets the out of control feeling. I notice the right rear tire grabbing. Seems like the rear end is not in synch.

When I am 2nd or 3rd gear, say 3000 rpm and let off the gas and push in the clutch, it lunges back to the right. Anyone have an idea??

Had a friend with a 65 365 coupe with the same symptom a couple of years ago. Tried everything and finally discovered it was the tires that was making the eratic movements. New tires cure it.

Thanks. I have brand new Coker reproductions, 600 miles on them now. This problem just started in the last 40 to 50 miles

Check the end play on the stub axles that come out of the rear end housing. I had a retaining clip come off one time and it acted like you described.
