C3 Handbrake Cover Rear Hidden Bolt

The hidden bolt is missing from the rear end of my 74' handbrake cover - no surprise there. When I bought the car it came with some loose fasteners. One of them may be the bolt for the handbrake cover.

Can someone tell me if this is the bolt (it is the right thread size) - bolt is hex head with an integral washer, appears to be chrome plated and is about one inch long?

Robert if I remember correctly the head of the bolt is either a 3/8 or 7/16, if I was at home I could easily say which. Anyway the bolt has a unique shouldered head, it is not chrome plated. The easiest way for me to remove/install this hidden from view bolt is to reach through the jack storage compartment sitting on the passenger door sill using my left hand and remove/install the bolt using the center of the rear of the brake console as a location reference. Removal of the glove storage compartment lining is not at all required.

The bolt I have has a half inch hex head. The washer part is not a loose/ retained washer but appears to be formed with the hex head part of the bolt. My bolt may not be chrome plated but has a smooth and fairly shiny surface finish.
