Judging Points Question

All,

Since all my manuals are still boxed up because of our house reconstruction I can't reach my judging reference manual.

Could someone provide me an overview of how many points can be gained:

Judgingschools
Technical sessions
Flight sessions
Judging retreats
etc.

This per level (national, regional, chapter) and per role (judging event chairman, teamleader, judge, observer judge, tabulator, attendee, teacher, all were applicable)?

I'm need this for a prototype for new functionality for our website which is in need of this information...

Judging schools one pt. each and this cannot be earned on the same day a member judges.

Flight judging two per day at chapter meet, three at regional

The national judging retreat is five per day. I do not know about the recently established chapter retreats. Roy can answer that.

Observer judging is one pt. per day.

I do not believe tecnnical sessions earn any unless it is at the national convention.

Thanks Reba, how much does a judge gain for judging at the Nationals?

Are there any points to earn as teacher, judging chairman or teamleader at any event?

Judging at National convention is 5 points per day.

Team Leader gets same points as judges, so does judging chairman

Advanced Judging School (ALL day school) counts same as judging for that event (IE: 3-points at regional, 5-points at national)

Maximum points at a regional = 7
Maximum points at a national = 15

There may also be a maximum at a chapter, but if there is I don't know what that is.

Reading the exact text of what's published in our NCRS Judging Reference Manual is what's needed vs. going word of mouth. Rob... I know you said your manuals are packed away, so here's a scan of the pertinant section(s) dealing with the JUDGING portion of the recognition program... There's another section dedicated to TABULATIONS.

Some cite rules that may exist, but if these rules do exist, they haven't been reduced to writing... Things like:

(1) Can't get credit for attending a school on the day you judge at a meet.

(2) Can't get credit for tabulating at a meet where you provided judging services.

Etc...

Then, there are the new 'seminars' (all day schools) that Roy has progulmated for getting the same points you would IF you'd been a team judge at a Chapter/Regional/National meet, but opted to participate in the school/seminar... Those rules aren't in the book yet either.

Let me try to tabulate all your answers:

Judging schools-- 1 point per day Chapter and Regional

National judging seminars--3 points as usually listed

Tech session--0

Judges' retreat

National--2 days --20 Points

Chapter--2 days--5 Points

Judging Points

Chapter flight judged meet--per day--max 3 points at a one day meet--this does not differentiate if you have a large chapter meet that spans 2 days.

Regional flight judged meet--per day Max 7 points per meet

Judge--5--However there is a max of 10 points for judging that can be achieved at a national. The max judging points at a national is 15. The other 5 must be gotten through seminars or schools.

I was told by Roy that you could not receive judging and tab points at the same meet, however I cannot find anything in the manual.
