Diff Posi Tags Red Plastic or Metal 4 A '69???

I've seen the red triangle tags and and the long metal tags. What's the story on these? What's correct for a late '69???

Late 1969 will be the same as my early 1970. Red plastic.

The 68-69 Judging Guide info only discusses the red plastic warning tag. So I would expect to see all 69 cars having the same plastic tag. - Tony

Yes, but there are two different red tags. The configuration is the same but one reads " Use Positraction Diff. Lubricant Only" and the others reads "Use Limited-Slip Diff. Lubricant Only". The first of these is the one used for all 1969's.

I expect that the long metal tag your referring to is the part # for a manual transmission; such as M20, M21 or M22.

I haven't seen one of those before. Except for the rounded corners it is the same style, dimension as the transmission tag. Interesting.

The metal Posi tag shown looking like the one that was on my 1979 Malibu. I do not know the years other than 1979 that these tags were used. Pete
