PO2 Hubcaps

Hello,
I have a set of what I believe to be the Corvette PO2 hubcaps. The top corner square of the checkered flag is black on three of the hubcaps and it's white on the other hubcap.

Is it common for the checkered flag on the PO2 hubcap to change its color pattern?

I believe that the checkered flag with the white square is a P02 emblem. My original P01 early 68 has the black square in the top left corner of the flag. Perhaps someone changed the emblem on the one.

Would this be a position held by most judges?
The 68/69 and the 70/72 judging guide has no reference about the different flag color patterns.

Besides the emblem, the fins taper more to a point at the emblem area on a P02. The fins on the P01 end at the emblem as more squared off instead of a point. I too, searched both guides and came up with very little. There may be something mentioned about 6 months ago in the archieves and a photo. I don't think this is an issue for judging purposes.

Here are a couple of photos I got from another board member. The flags appear to be the same. As previously stated the PO1 has the square fin and the PO2 the pointed fin.

Nice pics James. You can see the difference in the two. I'll look a little closer to see if there's a fin difference between the two flag versions.
